Family portraits are special to me. I don’t take enough photos of my family, and I want to start getting in the habit of doing so, so that my children can see photos of their grandparents when they were younger. In my household, we have albums and albums filled with memories of our family, from my great grandmother’s farm in Spain to the photos of when I was just a wee little baby. It’s with photos that we are able to transport our minds back in time, revisit the memories we hold so dear, and remember the smiles of the people that we love.
Jessica approached me to capture these wonderful photos of her family, as she valued keeping those memories forever. I’m honored that she chose me to document and create art for her family, which I know they will treasure for the rest of their lives.
We met up at a field I love in Melbourne, Florida around golden hour, aka sunset. Surrounded by palm trees, tall and beautiful purple flowers, and with the help of some airplanes, anchors, and foxes, we worked together to preserve the love that her family shares.
